Marc Zandy is a freelance graphic designer with AutoCAD skills who prepares all the plans and artistic impressions for Moss Naylor Young’s reports and planning applications. Marc has fifteen years’ experience of graphic design for exhibitions and architectural proposals and also runs his own graphic design business.

Arminel Goodall

Transport Planning

Arminel Goodall joined Moss Naylor Young four years ago after spending 20 years with Somerset County Highways and Transportation where she had previously worked with Patrick Moss on two major local plan examinations for South Somerset and Taunton Deane. Arminel’s role with MNY involves highways and transport planning including travel plans, non-car travel and commentary of traffic modelling prepared by others. Arminel lives in Taunton with her family and enjoys cycling and outdoor activities.

Chris Hall

Land Use Planning

Chris has over forty years experience as a commercially focused Chartered Town Planner and Urban Designer and understands development economics and the planning system from all perspectives having worked in Local Government, as a private sector consultant and more recently for major property owners and developers. He also sits on the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation Planning Committee.

Before joining Moss Naylor Young in 2020 Chris worked for twenty years for a privately owned London based group of businesses with interests in retail, distribution, hotels and newspapers and provided in house planning advice across the group businesses as well as having responsibility for adding value via the planning process on an extensive portfolio of land and property in the UK. Projects covered everything from hotel extensions, single barn conversions to 1,000 dwelling new villages, mixed employment and residential schemes, offices, call centres and distribution facilities. He was appointed a main board director for the groups property holding company in 2015.

Chris has lived in Frome since 1986, he is a keen fan of live music, plays the trombone in a couple of local bands and is President of Frome Rugby Club.

Jennifer Ponsford

Planning and Tourism Economics

Jennifer Ponsford is a Chartered Town Planner with ten years post qualification experience.  Jenny has a diverse range of project experience in the public, private and third sectors both in the UK and overseas.  Project experience includes a range of canal and waterway restoration feasibility studies and optimal use strategies, tourism and recreation studies, production of planning policy documents, environmental impact assessment, development feasibility studies, minor and major planning applications, major and funding applications and assessments.

Experience includes project management, contract management,  commissioning  and procurement, public and statutory consultation, design workshops, on-going liaison with an array of public and private sector bodies, and writing of supporting statements, tender documents and progress reviews.  Jenny was a member of Patrick Moss’s planning team at Atkins.

Laura Wigg-Bailey

Heritage and Funding

Laura looks after the fundraising for projects and helps get clients where they need to be in order to successfully bid for transformational funding. Laura comes from a heritage management background with (almost) 20 years’ experience in that sector. She has been fundraising for over 10 years with several multi-million pound schemes under-way currently. Her favourite food is smoked mackerel and she is currently reading “Stone’s Fall” by Iain Pears.

Sara Coffield

Personal Assistant to the Director

Sara joined Moss Naylor Young six years ago and has been central to the operation of the business ever since, acting as assistant to director Patrick Moss and running the office which acts as a hub for the entire team.  With over 20 years experience in executive level administration and now running her own business, Graceful Solutions, Sara loves to pull us all together and get us on song as Sara is also an established singer /songwriter who lives on the edge of the independent market town of Frome in Somerset with her adorable cat Joe, just a bike ride away from sprawling wildlands and elegant estates! 

Patrick Moss

Director

Patrick Moss has over 30 years post qualification experience in waterway regeneration, land use and transport planning, working across the UK and internationally on a range of projects from small local regeneration and renovation schemes to major infrastructure projects such as Thames Tideway Tunnel and Crossrail. Patrick is an approved monitor for the Heritage Lottery Fund and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Prior to forming Moss Naylor Young Patrick has been associate director at IMA and Peter Brett Associates and Principal Planner at Atkins.
